David Case is the founding Partner of Briarlake Partners. While his focus is the entire supply chain, his specialties are strategic sourcing and procurement along with managing our clients who are in the consulting space. David earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Logistics from Penn State in 1993. Additionally, he has completed MBA coursework at Georgia State University.
David has more than 20 years of international management experience, focusing on both strategic and operational issues. His expertise includes strategic sourcing and procurement, supply chain planning, supply chain systems (APS, WMS, eSourcing, SRM) selection and implementation, network modeling, distribution center design, strategic operations improvement, process improvement and risk management.
Directly prior to recruiting, David was a Senior Manager – Supply Chain Integration with Philips Electronics. During his career with Philips, he managed an internal consulting group that supplied supply chain support to Philips’ five product divisions. Prior to Philips, David work for UPS Supply Chain Services where he helped design outsourced logistics solutions for Siemens, Sprint, Columbia-HCA, and IBM. David also spent four years with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting). While at AC, he helped numerous clients; including Starbucks, Oxford Industries, The Sports Authority, Stanley Tools and Royal Ahold improve their operations. At Penn State, David interned with American Honda and Harley Davidson.
David is an active member of the supply chain and procurement communities and has played a prominent role in The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. He is a previous officer of the Atlanta CSCMP chapter and has been on the board since 1999. David also chaired a track on Global Sourcing at the 2006 National Conference. He is a current member of the Institute for Supply Management.
